The IAC Introduces
Carotid Stenting Accreditation
Welcome to the official website of the ICACSF, the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Carotid Stenting Facilities. To provide facilities performing carotid artery stenting (CAS) with a mechanism for demonstrating their commitment to quality, the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) is pleased to announce this newest accrediting division. The ICACSF is supported by the sponsoring organizations to the right.
New: The 2010 ICACSF Standards
Serving as the basis of the accreditation process, The ICACSF Standards are an extensive document defining the minimal requirements and recommendations for facilities to perform quality carotid stenting procedures. The ICACSF Standards are divided into five sections: Section 1: Personnel and Supervision; Section 2: Physical Facilities; Section 3: Volume of Clinical Procedures; Section 4: Process; and Section 5: Quality Improvement. The Standards are intended for used by facilities as a guideline to achieve and demonstrate quality patient care.
The 2010 ICACSF Standards are now available for download, in PDF format.
